At K2 Preschool we strive to create a warm and stimulating environment where learning is fun. We engage in activities to promote and extend children’s curiosity and awareness of the world. K2 offers your child their Preschool Education in a smaller, learning environment, addressing all areas of the curriculum with the emphasis on learning through play. Through careful planning by qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic staff, including an Early Years Teacher, we provide a curriculum that aims to challenge children’s thinking and develop independence skills, and assist children in progressing towards their full potential. We believe that it is crucial for children to experience positive, caring, and supportive education to develop a positive sense of themselves: This is critical for young children in all aspects of their lives and gives them the best opportunity for success in all other areas of learning. We recognise the long-term importance of the formative early years, as well as childhood being an important stage of life in its own right. 

 

We offer excellent quality childcare with flexibility that allows you to choose when you use your 15/30 hours entitlement to fit around your work.

We work closely with Ambleside Primary school to provide wrap around care during term time with a morning drop off to the school for 8:50am, and we collect the children at 3:15pm after school.

Breakfast Club: We open at 7.30 during term time and 8 during the school holidays. Breakfast is available for children on arrival, we escort the children to school, and we always make sure all children are safely in the hands of their class teacher.     

 

After School Club: Children are collected from Ambleside school and we make our way to K2, where a healthy snack and drink is served to all children. We provide a safe, secure, and relaxed environment for the children in our care. We endeavour to create an atmosphere to help stimulate the children’s interests while helping them to relax after their day at school. We offer a wide range of activities including cookery, crafts, board games, imaginary play, outdoor games and activities, computer time and of course homework study areas.

K2 Holiday Club is for children aged 6-12 and is open daily from 8am to 5.30pm throughout the school holidays.

During holidays our full days are packed with fun!

We provide a wide range of activities both inside and out, which children are able to select independently throughout the day. We have our own playground, access to the large school playground and easy access to the park and beyond. At K2 we like to get out walking in our beautiful surroundings when ever possible. We go paddling in lakes and rivers, explore the environment, collecting and making things out of natural objects, boat trips and lots more!!!
